​During MYP students don’t (really) feel the pressure of IB. Yet. However, starting with 11th grade things change dramatically. The number and the complexity of tasks skyrockets, draining many students off their willpower and blowing up their self-confidence. Procrastination and feelings of overwhelm take over, causing many students to acquire results way below their potential.

Pre-IB Summer School is the place where MYP students are prepared in advance for IBDP challenges. A cosy and welcoming space where we introduce students to learning techniques and the syllabus of the 11th and 12th grade. During Pre-IB Summer School, each IB subject will be presented to the student and explained what is expected in terms of written assignments and preparation for the final exam. Students are taught to set goals, pursue them through planning and take responsibility for their work. These are all essential skills to have for the 11th grade. Students will also be trained using our TEMPERA framework that equips them with solid skills related to time management and efficient learning. As many of our staff have double specialisations (both IB certified and psychologists), our sessions are based on psychological techniques that enhance concentration, memory, logical and critical thinking and anxiety management.
